Not sure what you want?
If you do know what you want,

Then provide your quantity and upload artwork if you have it.
While 1.75” is the most common diameter for a challenge coin, sometimes applications, designs or budgets require other sizes. Very small coins often serve specific purposes, while larger coins work better for intricate artwork elements and make great attention-grabbers. If you are in need of a coin smaller than 1.5” or larger than 2”, please specify your size in the additional comments field below.
Shiny finishes are incredibly eye-catching, and can make your design look more elegant. An antique metal finish will highlight raised details and really exaggerate your 3D areas, while a satin finish offers a rich, smooth appearance. We offer a variety of gold, silver, copper, brass, and nickel finishes. Note that shiny silver oxidizes quickly, so we offer shiny nickel in its place.
Traditional or Custom Shapes
Of course, coins are traditionally round, but that doesn’t mean you have to limit yourself to a simple circle! The possibilities are near limitless with the interesting shapes that can be intricately produced. Consider a custom odd shaped piece such as a dog tag, square, or something completely unique to your own design.
Virtually No Limits on Color
Add as many colors as you’d like to your new coin without considering the cost. We don’t charge more for unlimited paint-filled color, and we never will. You even have the option of glitter, translucent, and/or glow-in-the-dark paint. Please note in the additional comments box below if your design requires any of the previously listed special paints.
2D Details or Raised Designs
Depending on the design or look you want, you may prefer 2D or 3D artwork. 2D artwork typically has more flat and recessed characteristics that allow for paint-filled color details. 3D coins will have unpainted, raised elements that tend to be more rounded and intricate, allowing you to focus on more realistic details.
Two Metal Finishes
There is a reason that they say two is better than one – using two metal finishes can take your design to the next level. Match any shiny finish with either an antique finish or another shiny. So create an antique silver coin with shiny gold accents, or maybe create a unique design by combining black and shiny nickel … let your design dictate the best choice for you.
Want a picture-perfect coin? We provide two options to achieve it: picture insert and screen-printing. Picture insert allows us to transfer a photo onto the surface of the coin. Screen-printing, through a process of overlaying colors, allows us to create an image with softer edges, and is the option most commonly used for graphics and cartoons.
Beautiful and Protective
Adding a clear epoxy coating is a great way to protect the metal finish, paint, and raised areas of your design. It also makes your coin feel smooth and rounded, and sets off a beautiful 3D appearance. Increase the longevity and durability of your coin by adding epoxy coating.
Often used for recessed areas, sandblasting adds a sense of texture and visual depth to your coin. This “gritty” option is rougher than a typical smooth coin surface, including being rougher than coins with a small amount of complementary sandblasting.
Less Coin Is Sometimes More
Use cut outs to create any simple shape, or take it a step further and create a spinner coin with a movable center. Our prices vary depending on the number of cutouts required, so please specify in the comment field below if the number of cut outs is more than two.
On the Edge
Accentuate your design by adding a beautifully hand-cut pattern into the edge of one or both sides of your coins with swirl cut edge, flat wave edge, petal edge or a cross-cut design of the diamond cut edge. You may also choose to encompass your design on either side with a rope edge, which we will incorporate into your die mold.
Stamped or Reeded
Select stamped edge text to add a special message around the edge of each coin with a much deeper imprint than achievable with laser engraving. Add a company motto, list of names, or just about any other wording you wish. Alternatively, a simple reeded edge around the side of your coin will add texture and interest.
Make It Personal
Customized engraving is a great way to personalize individual coins without creating a new die mold each time. Engrave your coins with non-consecutive numbering, or individualize for each recipient with names, dates, or personal messages. Your recipients are sure to take it personally!
We can incorporate a numbering plate into your coin design, and then use the plate to laser engrave consecutive numbers. Or, we can laser engrave along the edge of each coin. Your series of numbers can start and end wherever you prefer.
Use It Everyday
Coins don’t just have to be for display. Turn your coin into a keychain, bottle opener, or both! We can create bottle openers in several ways, including slightly changing the shape of an otherwise round design to make a notch or by creating a special cut out in the interior of the coin.
Add a Special Touch
Present each coin in a quality velvet bag, or display each beautifully with a velvet box. You may also show off your coins with a clear plastic or durable wooden coin stand, or protect each coin with a hard plastic case. Please specify any custom bag or box needs in the additional comment field, or tell us of a desire for an acrylic paperweight presentation.
