The Military Police Corps often called MPs have fill a critical role in the U.S. military with a long history dating back to the American Revolution.  William Maroney, appointed by General George Washington, was the first Provost Marshal to deal with disciplinary issues.  Since then Military Police have filled many critical rolls such as assisting on the front lines, guarding the infantry’s flanks and rear, holding critical infrastructure, and maintaining custody over prisoners.  Military Police can be proud as they are critical to the US Military’s need to maintain a high standard of conduct.

This unique 3D odd shaped coin has a shiny nickel metal finish with two tone antique brass on the front and back.  The front of this coin has crossed M1805 pistols with a skull wearing a traditional MP military helmet with the text “Military Police” at the bottom.   The back has the traditional MP Regimental insignia with the text “Assist – Protect – Defend”.  It measures 2 and 5/16 inches on the longest side.
