Marine Corps 2019 Birthday Challenge Coin

Honoring 244 years of rich Marine Corps history, the annual birthday ball is a time for all Marines to reflect and to celebrate. This event is enveloped with many traditions such as the cake cutting, oldest and youngest Marine present, the reading of the current Commandant’s message and a reading from the 13th Commandant of the Marine Corps Lieutenant General John A. Lejeune.

This coin is part of an annual series minted since 2002 by Marine Veteran-owned company Coins For Anything, Inc. Each year features a Marine Corps tradition, unit or aspect of the Marine corps which all Marines can relate to. This year’s coin honors Marine and movie star GySgt R. Lee Ermey. GySgt Ermey was a classic drill instructor in many famous American films and TV shows.

This coin is 1.75 inches in diameter, minted out of solid brass and has an antiqued finish.
