The 1.75″ antique brass 2008 Marine Birthday challenge coin features a full color picture insert of the Marine Corps Silent Drill Team. The front of the coin also includes the words, “Silent … Yet Unforgettable.” The back of the coin declares “Celebrating 233 Years of Excellence” over the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor. The Marine Corps Birthday of November 10, 1775 is proudly displayed along the top. Scarlet and gold rings add a finishing touch, and the coin has a protective clear epoxy coating on both sides.
