Buyer Responsibility & Intellectual Property use policy
At Coins For Anything, Inc., we take intellectual property rights seriously and expect our clients to do the same. By placing an order, submitting artwork, or approving a design, the buyer (“Client”) acknowledges and agrees to the following terms regarding trademarks, logos, insignias, copyrighted materials, and all other protected intellectual property used in the creation of custom products.
Buyer Responsibility & Intellectual Property use policy
Authorization to Use Trademarks or Protected Materials
The Client affirms that they either:
- Own the rights to, or
- Have obtained express written permission or license from the rightful owner to use,
any and all trademarks, service marks, logos, emblems, unit identifiers, copyrighted elements, or proprietary designs submitted for production.
This includes but is not limited to: military unit insignia, government organization emblems, corporate logos, brand names, and any symbols protected under trademark or copyright law.
Assumption of Legal Responsibility
By submitting artwork, placing an order, or approving a design:
- The Client accepts full legal responsibility for the use of any protected content in the design.
- The Client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Coins For Anything, Inc., its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any claims, legal actions, liabilities, costs, or damages resulting from unauthorized or improper use of intellectual property.
Role of Coins For Anything, Inc.
Coins For Anything, Inc. is a custom manufacturer and does not verify, investigate, or assume liability for intellectual property ownership or permissions related to designs submitted by clients.
We may, at our sole discretion, decline to produce artwork that appears to violate intellectual property laws or established licensing requirements.
Military and Government Trademarks
Some government entities and military branches, including but not limited to the United States Marine Corps, Army, Navy, Air Force, and Space Force, maintain strict trademark licensing programs. In such cases:
- Clients ordering designs that include military trademarks or emblems are responsible for complying with the respective trademark office’s guidelines.
- If the product is not for resale and is intended for internal, commemorative, or ceremonial use, the Client may still be required to assume licensing responsibility in writing.
Coins For Anything, Inc. will not pay royalties or submit documentation on behalf of clients unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
Retail vs. Custom Orders
- For retail products sold under our brand using licensed marks, we comply with applicable licensing agreements and pay royalties accordingly.
- For custom orders, the responsibility to secure usage rights and comply with licensing requirements rests solely with the Client.
Reporting Infringements
If you believe your intellectual property has been used in error or without authorization, please contact us at 540-376-7000, and we will promptly investigate and take appropriate action.
